A few things being a mum has taught me.


It honestly feels like yesterday i was in hospital with my tiny new born and now i have this huge four year old. Time flies so quickly when you have kids, & you have to cherish every single day.

I’ve learnt so many things from being a mum, i remember having a cry in the hospital with J when he was 2 hours old, i was all alone as Pete had been told to go home for the night and I had no clue how to change a nappy or how to breastfeed and the sudden realisation of having this tiny human was so daunting to me!

The Christchurch food festival has become such a huge event and rightly so, they up the amount of food stalls each year, there are cooking demonstrations, rides for the kids, bars and a pimms bus. plus so much more!

Top Spot – Chewton Bunny

One of my absolute favourite places to go when i’m stressed, having a bad day or just fancy a relaxed walk is Chewton Bunny in Highcliffe. Its part of the Chewton Glen hotel beach walk, but you can also access it without staying at the hotel.

Pete used to explore around here as a kid, & as i didn’t grow up in the same village, i’m now getting to find all these new places that i never knew existed now that I live in Highcliffe, this being my favourite by far. Continue reading “Top Spot – Chewton Bunny”

A day trip to the Isle of Wight


On saturday my parents had my brothers kids for the day so we decided to take them and Jacob for a day trip to the isle of wight. We didn’t really have a plan and decided to go with the flow, and had such a wonderful day.

We got the ferry over from Lymington as foot passengers which was so quick and easy. Once there we saw an open top bus that would take us to the needles attraction, which was really fun, we sat on the top ( of course) and let the wind turn our hair into wild manes, watching all the gorgeous scenery fly past us.
